Policy on Blended Learning
Opportunities for Grade 12 Students in Workforce Training Programs
At the Institute for Safety Education & Training (ISET), we are committed to inclusive learning that prepares students for academic success and workplace readiness. Grade 12 students are welcome to participate in face-to-face training sessions alongside experienced members of the workforce.
Enriched Learning Environment
- Exposure to practical knowledge, industry insights, and real-world problem solving from working professionals.
- Improves subject understanding, confidence, communication skills, and professional awareness.
Flexible Participation
When the workforce cohort completes their intensive two-week training, Grade 12 students simply return to their regular academic schedules—gaining real-world experience without disrupting school commitments.
Blended Learning Method
By attending in-person courses, students gain deeper, practical understanding than online/distance study alone. This Blended Learning approach combines the flexibility of remote study with the depth of hands-on, face-to-face instruction.
Access & Costs
- Open-access: Grade 12 students may attend sessions for as long as they wish with no additional tuition fees.
- Costs to plan for: transport and accommodation only, depending on the chosen training location.
- Parents and students select the most convenient venue from our published schedule.
Benefits for Students and Employers
This model supports a smooth transition from school to the workplace, equipping students with relevant skills, workplace readiness, and a professional mindset. Employers benefit from motivated, well-prepared future professionals who integrate quickly.
